Sitting here looking
out this port I see
out this port I see
A planet of dark brown
with an emerald sea
with an emerald sea
The air is a light green
with soft clouds on high
with soft clouds on high
We has traveled so far
because Earth has died
because Earth has died
We’re told we can breathe
the thin air down below
the thin air down below
But we’ll turn purple from
things on this world it grows
things on this world it grows
All the fleets’ engines fire,
as the Great landing begins
as the Great landing begins
The sky starts to glow,
God no, we’ve done it again
God no, we’ve done it again
The sea is on fire, sister ships
turn flaming bright red
turn flaming bright red
No more worlds will we destroy
for all man kind is now dead
for all man kind is now dead

I wonder why so many Sci-Fi stories have the Earth in ruins... If we kill the plants - there will be no atmosphere for us, either! Machines may take over after all...
We must again become farmers...

It's hard to not see the hand writing on the wall.
Even I who can not see global warming happen
tomorrow sees it coming on the fast trainl
Scary, isn't it?
Lynn:
leave it to man.
While well written, I can't really share this belief. It is possible, but I have to hope. And hope doesn't grow well in the shadow of despair. It needs the light of faith. I have to believe mankind will and can do better. History is full of our failures, but it also shows our successes, otherwise we would not have survived.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you're still writing. It's been ages since I visited and I apologize. I hope you're doing well:~)
Sara:
